But the determination should be based on what an individual believes, not in where the person was baptized.

Asking for rebaptism of any born again Christian is questioning a persons "heart". Such judgements are reserved for God, not man.

Lastly, does the IMB continue to accept mission offerings from those churches who's views differ from their own? I think you know where I'm going with that question.Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09281279857732089667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-943624452162362470.post-24517900668327126372008-09-20T21:53:00.000-04:002008-09-20T21:53:00.000-04:00I think we are dealing with a big problem here "ho...I think we are dealing with a big problem here "how is the IMB, or any part of the SBC, going to be run?"
The present system, a few trustees running the show without any form of accountablity, may have worked in the past put it is no longer effective for the 21st century.
Something new needs to be found where problems like this can be addressed and agreed upon by a larger number of Baptist and not a select few.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-943624452162362470.post-16125759607747168902008-09-20T09:49:00.000-04:002008-09-20T09:49:00.000-04:00Chris,I pray that basing our doctrines on Scriptur...Chris,

I pray that basing our doctrines on Scripture rather than on tradition will be an ongoing consequence of the Conservative Resurgence and its emphasis on the Bible.

-- ToddTodd Benkerthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01946569777635522966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-943624452162362470.post-66745746515711692502008-09-20T01:02:00.000-04:002008-09-20T01:02:00.000-04:00Brother Todd,You make good points based on scriptu...Brother Todd,

You make good points based on scripture and not tradition. There is NO WAY that I understood all the doctrines of scripture, least of all enternal security, when I was baptized.

That's all I've got.Joe Blackmonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609279285784683781noreply@blogger.com
